OUR QUALITY PROCESS

What Goes Into a Quality Enos Paint Job

Every Enos Executive Painting project follows the same proven preparation and application process, refined over 25+ years in the Tampa Bay climate. Here are the six steps that separate a paint job that lasts from one that peels in two years.

01

Deep Pressure Wash

We thoroughly pressure wash every exterior surface to remove mildew, chalking, dirt, and oxidation. We also dredge 2 inches below ground level around the perimeter using a rotary tip so the seal and paint protect your home all the way down.

02

Inspect & Repair

Before any paint touches your home, we inspect every surface for wood rot, stucco cracks, and damaged areas. We address problems first so the new paint has a stable, sound surface to bond to.

03

Sand, Scrape & Prime

We sand and scrape loose paint, fill holes in wood surfaces, and prime every bare or repaired spot. This is the work that separates a 7-to-10-year paint job from a 2-year paint job.

04

Rust Treatment

We apply Ospho and Rustoleum primer to all rust-affected areas as needed. Skipping this step is the fastest way to see brown bleed-through stains come back through a fresh coat.

05

Protect Everything

We take our time properly protecting non-painted surfaces: landscape, floors, windows, light and fan fixtures, and outdoor furniture. Your home stays clean throughout the job.

06

Seal & Topcoat

We seal all cracks with an elastomeric textured patch so none are visible in the finished work. Then we apply self-priming topcoat at the proper mil thickness using both sprayer (left to right) and roller (top to bottom) for full coverage. Satin on the body, semi-gloss on trim and doors.

SURFACE PREP, UP CLOSE

Why Preparation Is the Single Most Important Part of Any Paint Job

Most paint failures in Florida have nothing to do with the paint itself. They come from rushed or skipped prep. Below is exactly what we do before a brush ever touches your home.

STEP 1

Sand, Scrape, Patch, Repeat

After the pressure wash dries, we sand and scrape every surface where existing paint is loose, peeling, or chalking. Bare wood and stucco get filled, primed, and re-sanded smooth. We dredge two inches below ground level around the perimeter using a rotary tip on the pressure washer so the eventual seal and topcoat protect your home all the way down to the soil line. This is unglamorous, time-consuming work, and it is the single biggest reason our paint jobs outlast cheaper ones.

STEP 2

Prime Bare Wood, Rust, and Repairs

Primer is the bonding layer between your home and the topcoat. We prime all bare wood and stucco, every patch and repair, and any stain-prone area. On rust spots we apply Ospho followed by Rustoleum primer so the rust never bleeds through your finish coat. The right primer in the right place is the difference between a paint film that grips for 10 years and one that lifts after one rainy season.

STEP 3

Protect, Mask, and Seal

Before the first coat goes on, we mask windows, doors, light and fan fixtures, and cover landscaping, walkways, pool decks, and outdoor furniture. We seal every crack with an elastomeric textured patch so they disappear under the finished paint. Then comes the topcoat: a self-priming paint applied at the manufacturer-recommended mil thickness with both sprayer (left to right) and roller (top to bottom). Satin on the body, semi-gloss on the trim and doors. The result is a finish that looks crisp, sheds dirt, and is easy to clean.

We Always Apply the Highest-Quality Paints Available

Premium products from Sherwin-Williams (Emerald, Reserve, Resilience, Duration, SuperPaint) and Benjamin Moore (Aura, Regal Select). We never substitute cheaper paints, never dilute, and never add surprise charges after the work starts.

HOA COLOR RESOURCES

Find Your HOA-Approved Colors

Many Tampa Bay communities require homeowners to choose paint colors from a pre-approved HOA palette before the project can begin. Sherwin-Williams maintains a free, searchable database of HOA color palettes for hundreds of communities across the country, including many right here in the Tampa Bay area. Use the link below to look up your community and confirm which colors are approved for your home before requesting your estimate. If you cannot find your community in the database or you are unsure which palette applies, give us a call at (813) 907-5444. We have decades of experience navigating Tampa-area HOA approval processes and can help you submit the right color samples and paperwork the first time.

Not Sure What Color You Want? We Will Help You Decide.

Choosing a paint color is the most exciting and most stressful part of any project. With thousands of options from Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, narrowing it down can feel impossible. We take the guesswork out of it.

Our color services include in-home consultations where we evaluate how light hits each room (and each side of your home), discuss your fixed finishes like flooring, countertops, and tile, and recommend palettes that work with your style and the Florida sun. We can pull large color samples from Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore for you to live with for a few days before committing, and we always strongly recommend testing colors on the actual surface in actual light before signing off.

EXTERIOR COLOR INSPIRATION

Soffit and Fascia Color Combinations That Just Work

When it comes to exterior paint, you are probably most focused on the siding color, but the roof, front door, fascia, and soffit matter just as much. When one element is off, the whole exterior loses its curb appeal. Below is a curated selection of fascia and soffit color combinations our designers love, with the exact paint colors called out for each.

Fascia is the horizontal board covering the rafter area below the roof edge. Soffit is the covering for the underside of the eave.

COMBO 01

Tricorn Black Fascia, Natural Wood Soffit

A classic Florida exterior elevated with bold contrast. The fascia is painted in Sherwin-Williams Tricorn Black, while the soffit remains natural wood to bring warmth and texture into an otherwise crisp palette. Clean, modern, and timeless.

COMBO 02

Black + White: A Timeless Pairing

Black and white never goes out of style. Here the fascia and soffit are both rendered in Benjamin Moore Black Beauty, creating striking contrast against stucco painted in Sherwin-Williams Panda White. The wood siding and front door add just enough warmth to keep the look inviting rather than cold.

Light & Bright Cottage Palette

For a true cottage feel, our designers reached for soft, airy tones. Fascia and soffit are Sherwin-Williams Extra White, paired with Aloof Gray on the siding and Moderne White on the brick. Matching the porch columns and railings to the fascia and soffit creates one continuous, cohesive look.

COMBO 04

Shades of Gray with a Green Lean

The green-gray stucco color, Sherwin-Williams Bunglehouse Gray, is a perfect backdrop for fascia and soffit rendered in Benjamin Moore Deep River. The dark trim plays beautifully off the metal roof and matching awnings for an exterior that feels grounded and modern at the same time.

COMBO 05

Cream, Wood, and Black

Fascia and soffit colors do not always have to match. On this home, Sherwin-Williams Creamy is used on the fascia and ties into the trim and windows, while the deep soffit is finished in natural wood to echo the home’s other wood elements. Dark siding anchors the entire design.

COMBO 06

Monochromatic + Limewashed Brick

Benjamin Moore Deep Creek on the stucco, trim, fascia, and soffit creates a monochromatic, paint-heavy zone that becomes a focal point next to the limewashed brick. The sophisticated brown undertone plays beautifully with the faux copper gutters and wood lintels.

COMBO 07

Dark & Dramatic

Siding rendered in Sherwin-Williams Peppercorn, a deep gray neutral, paired with an even darker Tricorn Black on the fascia, soffit, garage doors, shutters, and front door. The result is a moody, confident exterior with serious presence.

COMBO 08

Warm Neutrals

A much lighter palette for homeowners who prefer subtle over bold. Siding in Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter pairs perfectly with Cloud White on the accents. Approachable, classic, and easy to live with for years.

COMBO 09

White, Blue, and Wood (Coastal Vibes)

This coastal home leans all the way into the beach aesthetic. Benjamin Moore Simply White on the fascia and soffit creates just enough contrast against the light blue siding in Benjamin Moore Soft Chinchilla. Washed-out wood accents complete the look.

COMBO 10

White + Green

Fascia and soffit painted in Sherwin-Williams Alabaster stand out against siding in Sherwin-Williams Evergreen Fog without ever stealing the show. Columns match the fascia and soffit, bringing the lighter accent color down to ground level where it meets the stone.

Whitewashed Brick + Modern Bronze

Classic and modern at the same time. Gutters and downspouts are Sherwin-Williams Urban Bronze, with shutters and front door finished in Ripe Olive. The whitewashed brick keeps everything feeling fresh and bright.
